About the role
We have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager or an experienced Contract Administrator looking to step up into a Commercial Manager position at our Mitcham office within our Infrastructure Services team.

In this position, you will play a key role in the Management Team for a leading infrastructure maintenance contract.

Reporting to the Project Director, this role is responsible for the efficient and effective management of all commercial and contractual matters. The successful candidate will take a proactive and collaborative approach to commercial leadership, driving risk mitigation and continuous improvement opportunities across our contract.

This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, with flexible working options possible.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and develop the contract’s commercial team
  • Management of our stores and inventory
  • Management of head and subcontracts ensuring full compliance and prompt resolution of any issues
  • Monitoring and analysis of service delivery performance data to identify and drive system improvements
  • Management of cost, revenue, and corporate reporting
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities within the project
  • Lead through collaboration, integrating Commercial functions with Finance and Operations for the betterment of the contract

About You
You will have a tertiary qualifications and extensive experience as a Senior Contracts Administrator ideally within infrastructure maintenance or construction industries.

You will also possess:

  • Proven experience in contract administration and subcontractor management including performance monitoring and analysis
  • Experience in workflow systems optimisation using computer applications and databases such as PowerBI, Maximo, SAP is preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cost control principles, commercial performance metrics and analyses relating to project and/or contract management
  • Solid knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management and internal commercial process compliance requirements
  • Pro-active, self-motivated individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills and a desire to improve service delivery processes
  • Ability to collaboratively manage stakeholders, with well-developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
