About the Role
Seeking a Carpenter to join our City of Sydney contract. The carpenter is responsible for providing carpentry repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance to a range of community facilities such as community centres, libraries, leisure facilities and depots, as well as its commercial buildings. Iconic buildings such as the Sydney Town Hall, Customs House, and the Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Completing maintenance and repair work on buildings as required.
  • Repairing locks, cylinders and adjust lock mechanisms
  • Continuously seek new and improved ways of service delivery, customer service and overall efficiency
  • Effectively communicate with customers where required and to support other trades people in maximising customer satisfaction
  • To actively participate and support an environment of teamwork and excellence in performance
  • Complete all related paperwork as necessary in a timely manner e.g. quotes, purchase orders, job dockets, minor estimates, technical reports etc.
  • Compliance with all Ventia SHEQ policies and procedures

About you:

  • Trade qualification (certificate III in carpentry or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in a building maintenance position.
  • Drivers License
  • White Card
