The Role:
Ventia’s very own Defence contract at RAAF Base Curtain in Derby, WA are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the grounds on the base. This role requires working across a variety of landscapes including built and natural parks assets including streetscapes, training grounds, verges, playgrounds, sporting and recreational grounds and upkeep of the airstrip. We have 1 x Full time position available to join a crew of 3 and we are open to candidates at all levels of experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Mowing/slashing of Turf areas, verges, and firebreaks
- Weed Control/Herbicide use
- Reticulation operation and minor repairs
- Garden Maintenance (mulching, pruning, bush cutting, hedging, weeding etc.)
- Use of plant & equipment such as ride on and push mowers, tractors, brush cutters, blowers, edger’s, hedgers, spraying equipment etc
- General labouring
Skills & Attributes:
- HR drivers licence & Current C class driver’s license
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Industry experience in a similar parks & gardens or landscaping role - Desirable
- Chemical and Chainsaw certificates – Desirable
- White card – Desirable
- Able to Pass a Pre-employment medical and Australian federal police check
