About the role

Unique opportunity within the Viva Energy team to work across a range of products that sit across our initiatives. This role is newly formed and will help shape not only our products but the design community here at Viva Energy.

As the Product designer you will strive to ship experiences that inspire and exceed the expectations of our end-users. Your work will win the hearts and minds of our customers and stakeholders as you care about interactions both on a micro and macro level. You have an open and a can-do mindset that can pivot your thinking depending on the task at hand.

In this roil you will;

  • Create modern UI designs and prototypes and bring to life your ideas
  • Define and create Human-centred Design artifacts based on an understanding of the business requirements and user needs through up-front, end-user research
  • Facilitate of a variety of Experience Design activities such as workshops, and customer/stakeholder interviews
  • Initially map out user experiences/features (wire flows) with general information, then progress to full fidelity UI and prototypes for product and development teams.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive web and native mobile characteristics and predominate design patterns, awareness of emerging trends, with keen eye for detail and usability/accessibility standards
  • Facilitate workshop with business stakeholders and cross-functional team to understand business needs, objectives, customer flows and ideate solutions.
  • work iteratively as part of the product delivery team to design, implement and validate web-based products and services.
  • Collaborate to create simple, yet thoughtful user flows that demonstrate how user needs, and business objectives will be met.
  • Systemise, document, and annotate your designs in collaboration with developers to ensure your designs come to life as accurately as possible.

Skills and Experience

We're looking for someone who understands the thinking, principles, and benefits of Component Design systems (multi-brand/themed libraries). You will bring out the best in others, be a brilliant listeners with the ability to communicate, present and influence where needed/. You will have experience supporting digital channels for large complex organisations, have Practical awareness of delivery methodologies including Agile and can work autonomously and deliver against allocated work streams having good organisational skills and high attention to detail
