About the role:

You will be a key individual contributor and member of our high performing Newport Terminal. You will provide valuable input to the planning/coordination and field execution of planned, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities.

About you:

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the co-ordination and safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities
  • Coordination and communication across a range of stakeholders; organisation, planning and prioritisation across tasks
  • Coordination and planning of operational involvement and supervision for operations maintenance
  • Promoting maintenance best practices and improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all work is managed and completed in accordance with Viva Energy’s HSSE values, safety rules and permit to work system

Skills and Experience

You will be a Safety leader with focus on planning and execution excellence, with very good organisation and communication skills across a range of stakeholders.

Success in this role will be underpinned by your;

  • JD Edwards knowledge highly advantageous
  • Engineering or Trade background (i.e. mechanical background).
  • Exposure to a major hazardous facility
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours occasionally (i.e. shutdowns).
  • Operational experience across work permits, HSSE MS knowledge, lock out tag out, isolations and gas testing
  • Technical acumen including ability to interpret drawings for use in the field, whether it's for isolating equipment or installing new structures
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership
  • Competence in data management
  • Experience in delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement opportunities
