About the role

Be a part of our Customer Experience team to support the management and coordination of V/Line’s customer and community engagement in relation to disability access.

As an Accessibility Advisor, you will also developandimplement communicationandengagementactivities thatspecifically address the issues as they impact customers, community and V/Line’s ability to operate.

Key Accountabilities include:

    Managing and internally facilitating issues related to DDA (Disability Discrimination Act 1992) and ensuring continual accessibility improvements for V/Line customers.

      Contributing to a business environment where risks are identified, understood and managed and a safe environment for customers and visitors is maintained.

        Managing the implementation and integration of partnership and community engagement outcomes in relation to disability and accessibility.

          Providing advice and information to V/Line staff regarding legislative and compliance requirements as they relate to disability access for day to day operations and a project basis.

            Developing and managing community and staff engagement programs that contribute to the ongoing success of V/Line’s community and staff engagement objectives as they relate to disability access.

            About you

            You will bring outstanding stakeholder management skills and the ability to form meaningful relationships.

            Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

              Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.

                Strong communication and report-writing skills.

                  Strong knowledge of Accessibility issues and legislation.

                    Extensive experience in disability access-related positions.

                    This position is classified as CLERK C3 – C6 ($45.0232 - $52.9728 per hour) in accordance with the current V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2019/ Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2019.
