Job Description

About the role

As a Water Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of drinking water for all customers across our region. You will coordinate and implement the Drinking Water Quality Risk Management Plan to ensure continuous improvement innovations while adhering to compliance standards in an impeccable manner.

The position involves the provision of strategic and technical advice associated with the planning and operation of drinking water, emphasising an integrated catchment to tap approach, protecting public and environmental health.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you and your skills

You are proactive in your approach to work with investigative, conceptual and analytical problem-solving abilities.

You possess relevant knowledge of water industry legislation and are proficient in the application of theoretical and/or scientific disciplines.

You have experience in researching, investigating and collating information. You employ a positive persuasive attitude facilitating learning, participation and building a consensus around a pragmatic course of action.

A tertiary qualification in engineering, environmental engineering or the sciences or other appropriate technical qualifications, or substantial relevant industry experience is required.

This is a full-time permanent position located in the coastal city of Warrnambool with a generous salary of ($84,583.44 to $91,961.91) depending on skills and experience, plus superannuation, flexible working arrangements and rostered days off.
