About the role
Due to unprecedented growth and development in South West Victoria, an exciting opportunity has become available with our Development Services Team.

This role supports Development Services in delivering best practice services in land development, minor trade waste, backflow and other relevant functions.
The position will have a particular focus on the land development process, including:
- Helping to develop technical knowledge on sewer and water design and areas of best practice in the water industry
- Applying technical expertise in reviewing submitted sewer and water designs to ensure compliance
- Pro-actively engaging with consulting engineers, contractors and developers, and overseeing the construction and commissioning of new water and sewer infrastructure
- Conducting audits of infrastructure across various stages of construction
- Providing input to the review of water supply and sewerage designs, construction standards, standard drawings and reticulation schemes.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you and your skills
You possess a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of water and infrastructure design, consultation and auditing principles and systems. You have strong analytical and investigative skills and are accountable for ensuring technical and statutory requirements are adhered to.
This position requires strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to discuss and resolve problems, and the ability to work autonomously.

This is a two-year fixed-term position located in the coastal city of Warrnambool with a generous salary of ($84,583.44 to $91,961.91) plus superannuation, flexible working arrangements and rostered days off.
