About the role
The position supports the Risk and Resilience team in providing a professional internal service to improve and embed our business continuity and emergency management frameworks and incident response across Wannon Water.
The role is integral in ensuring we have effective and efficient systems that reduce the likelihood, effect and consequences of emergencies.
The role represents Wannon Water in municipal, regional and state emergency management forums and helps to identify and deliver initiatives in conjunction with the relevant committee.
Responsibilities include the delivery and oversight of various plans and projects within the Risk and Resilience team to support these needs. This will include a detailed ongoing works program, working with a range of Wannon Water employees, government, agencies, regulators, industry partners, consultants and contractors.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you and your skills
You are proactive in your approach to work with investigative, conceptual and analytical problem-solving abilities. You have the ability to liaise with counterparts in other organisations to discuss specialist matters and within the organisation to resolve problems.
You have experience in researching, investigating and collating information. You employ a positive persuasive attitude to build learning and participation, and to reach a consensus on a pragmatic course of action.
A tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Business Continuity or Emergency Management or a related field, will be highly regarded but is not essential.
Completion of an Environment, Quality and/or OH&S Management System training course and completion of AIIMS 4 is desirable.

This is a full-time permanent position located in the coastal city of Warrnambool with a generous salary of ($84,583.44 to $91,961.91) depending on skills and experience, plus superannuation, flexible working arrangements and rostered days off.
