About the Position

As a QA Engineer at Whispir you will be working with our product teams. QA supports and coaches our engineers to build quality software that works at scale. We have a burgeoning Javascript/Typescript codebase for our newer software - both on the frontend (React) and our backend. We also have a legacy Java EE stack that we’re evolving and factoring away from.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with Whispir test environments and be an expert in QA automation tools such as Cypress/Selenium Web Driver using JavaScript/Java specifically, Postman, JMeter and others as introduced.
  • Ensure that manual regression tests are converted into automated tests
  • Ensure that all stories in the sprints are completely tested within the automation framework
  • Maintain and enhance an existing framework, such as adding new regression tests to the current continues integration (CI) framework
  • Raise and track defects using defect management tool
  • Assist in manual test at different stages when needed to ensure delivery deadlines are met

About You

  • A background in Javascript/Typescript and/or Java
  • Experience in Jira, GitHub, Confluence
  • Experience in performance and load testing
  • Professional experience with testing frameworks; e.g. Cypress, React Testing Library, Jest
  • Experience using testing tools; e.g. Postman, Jmeter
  • Knowledge of UI and API test automation concept and principles
  • Ideally some DevOps knowledge and skills. ideally using the following: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Buildkite
