Release Train Engineer - Q1 - 2023 - Perm

Our Digital and Technology Group is growing to support WorkCover Queensland’s digital transformation. We are looking for capable, curious, collaborative individuals who are excited to be at the forefront of our journey and help deliver exceptional digital services for our people, customers, and stakeholders.

We’re looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer to join the Digital Delivery team with a focus on facilitating the Agile Release Train (ART) activities and ceremonies, identifying and resolving impediments and managing risks and dependencies. This is a key leadership position, focussed on delivering value to our customers, staff and stakeholders.

You’ll contribute to:

  • Owning the ART across multiple Agile teams, delivering works as part of both Projects and BAU activities
  • Building pathways to SAFe activities within our current ways of working
  • Coaching delivery teams, leaders and Agile leads in Agile practices and promote a collaborative environment, in alignment with WorkCover practices
  • Creating timelines, milestones and cadence of increments and releases for ART
  • Improving delivery velocity to maximise value
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies to keep teams connected, engage stakeholders, resolve blockers, and drive continuous improvement.

A bit about you:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Agile Delivery and 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Certification in Agile Delivery and SAFe (Scale Agile) highly desirable
  • Deep knowledge of agile practice, frameworks, techniques such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience of leveraging and driving adoption of agile tools such as Jira or Confluence
