What we are looking for:

This parental leave contract will see you sitting within the Digital Team, which is part of Xero’s Global Brand and Marketing Team. As the Digital Media Lead you will play a key role in driving Xero’s business performance. You will be instrumental in growing our subscriber base through a mix of programmes and initiatives, driven through digital means, to support the acquisition and growth of direct small business subscribers and Accountant and Bookkeeper partners.

You will be part of an experienced, fifty+ strong global digital team who manage digital advertising, SEO, Analytics, Onsite Optimisation, Dev & Design, Engineering and a variety of other related digital marketing projects.
You will make an impact by accelerating Xero’s growth through excellence in digital leadership, innovation, data driven thinking and proactive collaboration with regional marketing teams to deliver great work.

What you’ll do:

  • Empower, coach and nurture a team of four to ensure team development and wellbeing and foster a high performance mindset.
  • Build strong, trusting and productive relationships with Regional Marketing Teams and other digital teams such as Xero’s Content & Creative, Global Brand, Analytics, Digital Platforms and Digital Performance Teams.
  • Lead and deliver digital marketing strategies (including brand, acquisition retention, upsell & adjacent revenue) from concept to execution, defining objectives, audience targeting approach, KPIs and data reporting requirements in a fast-paced test & learn environment.
  • Constantly look for and create new opportunities to achieve our online marketing goals. Ensure efficiencies and growth within digital channels while optimising quality of targeting, media cost and ROI.
  • Contribute toward and help shape Digital Media Team’s strategic roadmap by combining a deep knowledge of our small business and partner customers with digital leadership, innovation and data driven thinking.

  • What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive Digital media experience (Agency experience is a big advantage as is working for global brands)
  • Hands-on experience of leading Digital Marketing teams to deliver on business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of advertising and analytics platforms (Google Marketing Platform, Facebook etc)
  • Team leadership and coaching to develop and manage team members.
  • An advanced understanding of all digital channels including SEM, SEO, programmatic, social and native.
