About the role

We're looking for a Senior Engineer to champion API development as part of a mobile engineering team. You will be the subject matter expert in this space, dive in and work with the team with the goal of helping to build a collaborative environment and championing what’s best for the team and the API’s it owns.

Every day will bring different challenges, but the key areas of your job will be to develop a deep understanding of the business domain that will help the team to build quality software and deliver customer value.

What you'll do

  • You actively contribute to discussions around the right technical approach and removing roadblocks
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships both within the development team and the wider organisation
  • You will be a hands-on contributor, providing technical solutions within the team
  • Uplift & maintain an ASP.NET Framework API whilst delivering on a strategic vision to move to ASP.NET Core
  • Collaborate with other engineers in the team, including Android/iOS mobile client Engineers, and help upskill the API development capabilities of other members of the team
  • Champion engineering quality and continuous delivery practices within the team
  • Contribute to understanding solution feasibility and produce high level estimates
