Downer Water Services South is seeking an Electrical Supervisor for the Sydney Water program of works. This permanent full time role will be based in Seven Hills and report to the Project Manager working on water and wastewater projects. The primary responsibility of this role is to supervise trades and semi-skilled staff to ensure assigned work (electrical, instrumentation and control components) conforms to safety, quality and time requirement of the project.
THE ROLE
- Coordinate and allocate work to trades employees, delivery partners and subcontractors in accordance with directions
- Monitor the use of materials and care of tools and equipment to minimize unnecessary waste and damage
- Ensure adherence to safe and best working practices
- Select, train and develop leading hands and ensure the observance of safety and other work standards and fair and reasonable application of industrial agreements.
ABOUT YOU
- Recognised trade qualifications
- Significant experience in Electrical Instrumentation and Controls
- Demonstrated supervisor experience, ideally in water industry
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Outlook, Internet
