About the role

We are continually on the lookout for great Senior Business Analyst talent who want to explore their potential and build an exciting career with Coles.

We look for passionate team members who want to thrive, build on their skills and are willing to be challenged and contribute to making our finance team the best team.

The role sits within our Property Finance team and is being offered on a 12-month fixed term contract (parental leave cover) on a 2 day/week basis - ideal for someone looking to return to work on a part-time basis.

What you'll be doing

In this role you will support the broader Commercial Appraisals team in maintaining and enhancing financial models used to support commercial decision making across all four brands (Coles, Liquor, Coles Express and Coles Online).

In addition, you will work in partnership with all areas of the business to ensure corporate assumptions are robust and new initiatives are carried through to business case modelling to ensure appraisals are accurate and reflective of the current business models.

Good things you’ll need

We’re after a finance professional with financial modelling and business case preparation experience who is looking for a part time role with flexibility to balance work and personal commitments.

You’ll also need:

  • a CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) with proven commercial experience
  • the ability to think broadly, to identify and analyse multiple outcomes and issues affecting business proposals, and clearly communicate these to impacted stakeholders
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • sound communication (verbal and written), ability to present simplified complex data & concepts to enable decision making
  • excellent time management and planning skills
  • strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • proficiency with systems including TM1 and SAP preferable
