About the role

WesTrac currently has an opportunity for 2 x Team leaders to join our team at out Cadia Branch. Reporting directly to the site supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a workshop crew focusing on the safety of our team members, customer satisfaction and ensuring technician productivity is on target and work orders are completed in a timely manner. You will have a strong drive, motivation and direction to succeed and can work autonomously.

As the team leader you will manage a crew of 8 – 12 technicians onsite supporting a variety of different customers. Some of your responsibilities include; Coordinating Field Service repairs, leading a team of Field Service Plant Mechanics, arranging jobs, parts and providing quotes to customers.

The positions that we are offering are both full time positions, with a lifestyle roster of 7 on 7 off, 12.5-hour shifts (Inclusive of a meal break). We are only offering day time shifts, so this will be a perfect opportunity for a young family who is looking at stepping back with rotating shifts.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • At least 3 years’ in a similar role
  • Cert III Mobile Plant Mechanical trade qualifications or similar
  • Leadership experience with the ability to build a solid team
  • Bound working knowledge of Caterpillar equipment
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean and compliant workspace.
  • Understand the importance of safety and quality work and looking out for safety of you and your team.
  • Exposure to hard rock mining equipment
  • Strong Time Management skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other computer systems.
