What format is the program?

The program is delivered by WORK180’s DEI experts and includes:

  1. Gender equity hiring basics workshop (45 minutes)
  2. Inclusive hiring workshop (90 minutes)
  3. Take-home practical activities #1 and #2 (two weeks to complete)
  4. Retrospective and questions workshop (90 minutes)

    The material covered in the program is designed to help you understand:

    • The barriers women and underrepresented groups face when applying for roles
    • What women are looking for in an employer before applying
    • The correct terminologies to use when discussing diversity, equity and inclusion
    • The key elements for an inclusive job ads
    • How to compare best-practice job ads from other employers 
    • The different tools recruiters can use to create effective job ads
    • How to engaging with hiring managers and identify key questions for job ads
    • How to effectively use employee quotes in job ads
    • How to work with hiring managers to think more broadly in crafting job ad criteria
    Will I need to do any prep work?

    There are two take-home practical activities to be completed during the program. These activities are designed to give you an opportunity to put your learning from the workshops into action.

    You will have two weeks to complete the tasks and you will receive feedback from WORK180’s DEI experts in the retrospective workshop that follows.

    How long does it take and how much effort is involved?

    The program is run over approximately four weeks.

    There are two informative workshops that are 45 minutes and 90 minutes respectively; two take-home practical activities to help you put your learning into action; and one 90 minute retrospective workshop following the take-home tasks, in order to discuss and further embed your learning.

    What will I get for completing the accreditation?

    Upon completion of the program, participants will receive:

    • The WORK180 Gender Equity Sourcing Accreditation badge that can be used on materials of your choice (e.g. signatures, tender documents)
    • A WORK180 Gender Equity Sourcing Accreditation certificate marking completion of the program
