Job Description

Reporting to Trade Compliance Manager this position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with trade regulations & for mitigating import and export risks.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global trade policies and regulations
  • Prepare and submit Export Control Licenses via SPIRE
  • Support License and Permit applications globally, manage renewals
  • Support due diligence activities (Denied Party Screening)
  • Manage relations with customs authorities and brokers
  • Manage Trade Compliance mailbox and databases
  • Engage in classification and country of origin review process
  • Support preparations for internal/external audits relating to Export Control and Trade Compliance matters
  • Participate in cross-functional projects relating to trade compliance
  • Troubleshoot ad hoc customs related issues in support for both internal and external customers

Qualifications

What you’ll need to succeed:

You will have relevant work experience as well as qualifications related to customs and trade compliance, ideally within the UK. You will have good working knowledge of import/export regulations, documentation and record keeping. You will also need a deep understanding of core trade compliance areas such as Tariff Classification, Customs Valuation and Rules of Origin.
