Job Description

With our continued growth and due to an internal move, we have an exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join us for 18 months at least. Working with two other Group Financial Accountants within the Group Finance team, this role is integral to reporting of our results both internally and externally. Working in a fast-paced environment, this is an opportunity to work for a growing multi-national business that operates under SOx and is transitioning to reporting under a multi-GAAP framework (US GAAP and IFRS). Requiring interaction with a range of stakeholders, in a number of different countries, this is a dynamic role and an opportunity for a finance professional to make an immediate impact.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the lease accounting across the entire group
  • Responsibility for the preparation and co-ordination of a number of key reconciliations, including revenue and balance sheet accounts across the group, ensuring adherence to SOx requirements and to the agreed time-frames;
  • Assisting the Group Finance team in driving month-end process and ensuring tasks are completed to a high quality and on-time;
  • Prepare monthly files for journal postings and submission of journals for internal approval, ensuring supporting files are SOx compliant;
  • Close interaction with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including Finance Business Partners, Tax and Treasury, Internal and external audit;
  • Prepare for external audits and internal reviews by working closely with our auditors and ensuring that deliverables are prepared accurately and within set deadlines;
  • Responsibility for the completion of covenant certificates in relation to the Group’s revolving credit facility;
  • Production of financial reporting disclosures for the annual report, 20-F and other statutory reports;
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

You will have a professional qualification and at least 3 years post-qual experience working at a similar level in a Group Finance environment, preferably within a listed, multinational business. You will need the ability to work alongside and influence senior members of staff.

You will have experience with IFRS and working in a Global company with SOx compliance. Your exceptional organisational skills will be key and likely developed in a high growth, fast paced environment. You are a self-starter with great analytical and problem-solving skills and naturally curious by nature. You are highly collaborative, a team player with high standards and ethics with a strong ability to prioritise tasks for multiple stakeholders operating to their own deadlines. If you have some experience of US GAAP, that would be great but this can be developed.
