The Global Services Group (GSG) is comprised of several interconnected business units which collectively provide service on a global scale, playing a central role in helping American Express achieve its vision of being the world’s most respected service brand. As part of GSG, the Global Account Processing Network (GAPN) organization within GCRO is to create, enable, and transform the ultimate customer experience by delivering products and tools to empower customer spend through a seamless payments, issuance, communications, bureau reporting, and new accounts journey. The automation and integration team is focused on driving strategic process automation to eliminate manual processes while optimizing integration alignments.

GNA GBI team is part of our organisation that is dedicated to supporting change into GNA through change execution and project management. Projects we support range from platform migrations, enhancements to the Acquisition journey of our Corporate and Small Business customers to process improvements for our New Accounts Colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity for those that have a passion to problem solve, is an entrepreneurial thinker, prioritise and articulate impacts throughout the project management lifecycle.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Manage operational readiness for key migrations, implementation and regulatory changes (AML, Audits, ICT, etc)
  • Coordinate key projects for GNA from capacity planning, capability development and adoption of change with the Operational teams.
  • Maintain relationships and communications across key partners including GNA Operational teams, automation teams, GCS, EDDS, GOCM, Risk and Compliance amongst others.
  • Identify measures of success and deliver post implementation reviews following project change.
  • Ensure compliance and control are embedded in all process enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong relationship and communication skills (written / oral) with consistent track record to influence and negotiate with colleague /partners within and outside of GNA at all levels
  • Solid understanding of our Commercial Onboarding platforms ideal
  • Experience with Global Corporate Services (GCS) processes, Global New Accounts (GNA), and/or Commercial Servicing Network (CSN) preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and be able to shift priorities when required
  • Strategic and innovative thinker with a successful track record of driving business results
  • Ability to excel when faced with ambiguity in a matrixed, fast paced environment and apply change management principles to drive results
  • Ability to develop detailed project and execution plans (tasks, dependencies, timelines, etc)
  • Experience in influencing cross functional project teams across geographies & time zones
  • Strong people leader
  • Proficiency in MS Tools such as Excel, Visio and Project
