The Center of Excellence (COE) team within International Card Services (ICS) enables and partners with international markets to ignite the next frontier of growth for American Express.

We are hiring for a highly motivated and versatile Manager Assistant to act as a trusted advisor for the Director Assistant/Chief of Staff, ICS Centre of Excellence Executive Office. The Manager Assistant will see and influence how decisions are made in the organisation across all strategic and operational initiatives, prepare presentations to communicate the team strategy & vision, provide recommendations for areas of improvement, and lead key activities to enable the team’s success.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Provide planning and coordination support, including project management, analytical support, financial process support and support of strategic priorities as required, including monitoring progress against key priorities.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of business planning and operational processes.
  • Support the organization in preparing strategic business reviews/presentations such as Business Unit Reviews and Leadership Updates.
  • Create impactful presentations by identifying, gathering, synthesizing and assessing a variety of data.
  • Proactively develop strong network and working relationships with various constituents across the COE and enterprise in order to accomplish tasks on behalf of the team. This includes working closely with the EA network within the department as well as the MA / DA community of the ICS COE team.
  • Play an active role in the team’s Colleague Engagement and Development Strategy and coordinate colleague HR processes
  • Provide strategic support on a range of issues and lead ad hoc strategic projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate is a highly organised and strategic thinker, who possesses exceptional organisational skills, financial acumen, analytical skills
  • Able to handle multiple diverse projects simultaneously, effectively multitasking and re-prioritising as business needs evolve, while continuing to support the day to day operations of the executive office
  • Passion, energy, and personal accountability
  • Proven ability to take complex technical information and translate it into clear communications (presentations/memos) for a variety of audiences
  • A broad knowledge of AXP and a proven track record for influencing without authority across all levels of American Express
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, work effectively in ambiguous situations, and a willingness to take charge and drive results
