The Business Process Document Manager or Associate Director is responsible for development and maintenance control of mandatory organizational documents for the clinical business processes, including various best practice supporting documents owned by the Business Process Management and Optimisation team (BPMO).

You will report directly to the Director Process Management managing the document managers team. On business as usual you will support several business process areas and work closely with Directors/Associate Directors Process Management accountable for those process areas in day to day maintenance of the process area, including but not limited to applying lean methodologies; authoring of documents with focus on simplification and standardization to improve user experience; developing training material with training academy; managing documents reviews and communication; triage and manage process users questions. You will engage with document managers/specialist team at BPMO and beyond to jointly drive and share innovation and best practice in document management.

You will be responsible for managing process toolkits and the maintenance and upkeep of the toolkit platform and its content, as well as all communications regarding process updates supporting assigned business process areas. You’ll work closely with Document Management System team to ensure that the processes/standards are adhered to and provide feedback to the Quality team following issue analysis arising from the BPMO process management.

You will work on developing and applying improvements into documents managed by BPMO as well as looking for enhancements for central templates owned by R&D and utilized by BPMO.

Finally, you’ll work closely with IT team to facilitate the smooth operation of the document management system, including driving for improvements.

Essential requirements:

Education

  • BSc in Science in an appropriate discipline or equivalent experience

Experience and required skills

  • Experience in document management and document management systems

  • Proven ability to manage process(es) or being and end user of a process

  • Solid knowledge of ICH GCP, understanding of clinical trials area

  • Preferred experience as a process owner/document owner in clinical process management

  • Preferred knowledge of business process management tools and lean methodologies

  • Proven ability in communication both orally and in writing on a global level is required

  • Proven/successful stakeholder management

  • Proven ability in presentation skills

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment

  • Problem solving

  • Change management.
