ABOUT THE TEAM

This role sits within our Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) team who are accountable for all Infrastructure, Security, IT Operations and all End User Services and technologies. This group will ensure that our IT Services are flawless and secure, and that technology is delivered in an efficient, effective, and agile way, with a solid focus on experience.

As Technical Lead you will work as part the Federated Product Team of ITSM and related modules within our ServiceNow platform together with Product specialists, IT experts and strategic partners to ensure delivery of ITSM Demand.

You will be responsible for collecting requirements from Product Owners, understanding and discussing the requirements and their impacts with key stakeholders before bringing in standard process solutioning and quality configuration of the requirement in ServiceNow in order to meet the Platform and project deadlines.

The Technical Lead will also have involvement in ITSM operations support, including supervising and handling the Incident queue for the federated team, ensuring that Incidents are resolved within the required SLAs whilst maintaining high levels of customer happiness.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Meeting AstraZeneca development compliance and quality requirements

  • Technical ownership of all ITSM Products in the federated team

  • Input into ITSM product strategies and demonstration of new features to stakeholders to gain buy-in

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience of ServiceNow in development / implementation roles

  • Experience in implementing various ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules

  • Advanced knowledge in all ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules

  • Strong experience in ServiceNow development tools and features such as: Business Rules, Script Include, Client Scripts, UI Policies, AJAX, Glide Scripting, Java Scripting, Jelly Scripting, Service Portal, Angular JS, Widgets, Workflow, Performance intelligence, UI Page, UI Scripts, UI Action, Inbound Action, Virtual Agent, Natural Langue Understanding, REST & SOAP APIs, Workflow Custom Activities, SQL, Database

  • Integration of ServiceNow with external tools using Web Services & REST APIs

  • Good knowledge in Power Shell scripting

  • Experience in scoped application development (Dashboard, Core and intelligence Products)

  • Experience in Performance Analytics, Predictive intelligence and VA

  • Experience of working in an Agile based delivery model (experience using ServiceNow Agile 2.0 is beneficial)

  • ServiceNow Administration Certification

  • ServiceNow Implementation Certification

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business requirements
