Main Duties And Responsibilities:

The Local Market Access Partner will devise the payer engagement strategy informed by regional/local insights and anticipate future opportunities within the evolving local access landscape to support business performance. You will create local value propositions and other payer focused tools to support the field force in bringing the payer strategy to life and with specific regional and local access challenges. You will also work closely with the brand team to define direct to payer marketing approach and strategy. In addition, you will create a clear understanding of both the Primary and Secondary Care context under which the local healthcare organisations operate, taking a future view of the customer landscape and proactively communicating the changing landscape to the business.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • First degree in economics or life sciences or pharmacy qualification

  • Demonstrated healthcare experience

  • Leadership and influencing skills;

  • Demonstrable record of collaborative working, and personal delivery to agreed timelines;

  • Excellent understanding of the NHS and customer needs for value arguments based on clinical evidence and cost-effectiveness;

  • Demonstrate project management skills;

  • Previous accountability for customer relationship management


  • Healthcare experience (pharma-side or NHS-side)

  • Professional qualification relevant to NHS

  • Experience of managing external supplier

  • Advanced Excel and data handling/insight software

  • Professional qualification relevant to NHS
