About the Role

This role sits within our Operations IT EMEA team. The members of the team are distributed across AstraZeneca sites with Macclesfield being the second largest site within the network. Manufacturing at AstraZeneca covers a range of processes in the delivery of the product through production planning, formulation, packaging and quality management. Operations IT’s focus is to partner with our customers to implement the AZ strategy by providing technical leadership to deliver scalable solutions enabling the business to achieve its growth targets.

We lead AstraZeneca’s Digital transformation in Operations IT, fusing our digital and data capabilities in positive relationships with our business to make it happen. Accelerating our business as we empower the core functions to work better and faster. By partnering across the business, we’re using our leading technologies and exploring data to make data driven decisions and allow us to reach the right outcomes, quicker.

As the Digital Business Analyst you will ensure that solutions fulfil their future strategic needs and challenges to develop and maintain the business relationship, support business process change and act as point of contact for application development.

You will work closely with:

  • IT Site Lead, taking ownership to deliver high quality cases, business process designs and ensure that proposed solutions meet established AstraZeneca quality and compliance standards and business solution needs.
  • Process owners to identify and devise solutions that optimize business process performance, capability and competitiveness.
  • IT Architecture, Delivery and Support to ensure deep understanding of requirements and effective testing so that the solutions delivered to the business are efficient and effective, meeting the customer experience expectations. Test Leads to define the testing approach and the components of testing to ensure traceability of requirements and efficiency of overall solution.
  • Comms and Change Lead Ensure the Change Management and Communications plans/delivery support the Partner Analysis.
  • Business customers to identify business requirements and effectively communicate impact, cost and benefits of new and changed demands.

Essential Experience:

  • Validated experience of optimally deploying a variety of business analysis tools/techniques to enable business change
  • Technical Expertise in SAP manufacturing related modules in a regulated environment.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of sophisticated coordinated systems, using creative and critical thinking to deliver outstanding results
  • Experience in crafting and delivering solutions in reporting, data analysis and visualisation clearly driving business benefit
  • The ability to analyse and understand infrastructure landscapes and the integration needs to data across application components
  • Strong engagement, interpersonal skills including excellent presentation and influencing skills
  • Experience in working on a digital transformation programme
  • Demonstrable experience of virtual collaboration to lead, craft and develop innovative solutions
  • Experience of mentoring, coaching or developing others
  • Experience of collaborating closely with 3rd party suppliers/vendors
