TheEuropean Industry Sales Lead – Finance is a new role created to support our Area Sales Europe.Avanade is embarking on a multiyear sales transformation as part of a wider CEO-led company-wide business transformation to dramatically grow Avanade across multiple corporate metrics such as sales, revenuee, profit and market share. The transformation includes creating a high performing sales function with a refreshed sales operating model with a clear identity, career model, modern tools and systems to support a growing sales force to deliver exceptional results in a supportive, inclusive and rewarding work environment.

The role of European Industry Sales Lead – Finance is a critical coordinating role to drive sales within our Finance industry across Europe. As an industry expert you will look at the bigger challenges and opportunities across the region within this industry and coordinate the targetted sales strategy into local execution. By influencing local leadership and teams, by partnering with regional leads, you will work on the European footprint through business development and sales.

As the European Industry Sales Lead – Finance you will analyse our current standing within the Finance industry throughout Europe and how to improve and grow this further based on your experience and knowledge of the market. Using your extensive sales experience and specific industry knowledge you will make a business sales plan and execute it throughout the region. To do so you will go one step further and enable the business to be able to execute this strategy. You must understand the capabilities that our sellers require to approach (new) clients and pitch our value proposition accordingly. You are able to construct a specific approach to translate our value for this specific industry on an operational, tactical and strategic level. This includes hands-on work where you go to large clients and lead by example. This role is intended to support the Area Sales Leader and the Area sales organization, coordinating with the global transformation program to make a major impact on the Finance industry across Europe. The target is to drive sales within current and new accounts.

Another element of the role is the responsibility you will take for big deal shaping within this specific industry by creating compelling proposals, generating sales, and driving revenue. This includes deals across different solution areas and countries where you shape the vision and bring the value proposition to the client, our partners, and our internal teams. For this you understand the larger needs within the industry and how we can make the necessary impact through the Microsoft ecosystem. Taking the commercial responsiblity you will also leverage the knowledge of our enterprise architects and other experts to present an encompassing vision resulting in successfull large deals to increase sales in the industry across Europe.

Responsibilities & Outcomes:

The suitable candidate can tactically and tactfully prioritize the sales and business development activities targetting the Finance industry across Europe. You shape, executive and drive the sales strategy to grow sales and revenue by influencing local teams and leadership.

  • Highly organized coordinator working closely Area Sales Lead and local leadership to lead, coordinate, mobilize, track, and report on the sales within the Finance industry across Europe.
  • The right leader will enjoy the diversity of the role and will exhibit credibility and experience in sales strategy frameworks, sales operating models and sales planning methodologies, and has a high degree of comfort in working through ambiguity, complex relationships and sophisticated business and channel models.
  • Maintain high-level understanding of Avanade offerings, Microsoft and Accenture solutions, and competitors' offerings and work effectively with Accenture, Microsoft and other partners to position and sell the offering in a competitive manner.

This blended role will support the Area Sales Leader in developing plans at scale to support the Area sales priorities within the industry and will support the annual corporate and budget planning processes.

Preferred Experience:

In particular, the preferred candidate will be a Senior Sales Professional with solid experience with the Finance market in Europe. You are a well-organized professional is able to focus the team across Europe through one sales strategy to grow the market. This will include coordinating with the right teams, achieving the envisioned sales and revenue impact, and bringing necessary support through the business, tools and other requirements to the teams needed to embed new ways of delivering value to clients across a complex landscape.

  • Creating and coordinating a multi-year sale strategy with measurable plans and targets to identify new opportunities and increase sales volume within the industry;
  • Use detailed, comprehensive industry knowledge by leveraging and analyzing a variety of internal and external data sources to help prepare high quality C-level proposals, pitches and deals for high level clients;
  • Managing crosscountry stakeholder working relationshipsand support the annual global sales planning and budgeting cycle in collaboration with them;
  • Supporting market facing teams to further specialize and impact the industry through local efforts as well as on a European basis;
  • Supporting leadership to manage and support the teams working within the industry.

Preferred Skills, Behaviors & Qualifications:

  • Industry expertise and is able to navigate and anticipate the Finance industry within Europe;
  • Proven track record ofselling Digital, Cloud, ERP deals or other large-scale consulting engagements that include global delivery within the industry;
  • Highly organized with strong time management and coordination skills;
  • Resilience in dealing with multiple stakeholders across a large region to unify the vision and strategy for the industry;
  • Natural leader who is defined by their knowledge and experience within the Retail & Manufacturing industry in Europe;
  • Can create a sense of urgency surrounding a necessary action, tool, collaboration etc. required to make an impact within the industry and organisation;
  • Collaborative and able to navigate multiple cultures and styles;
  • Problem solving mindset;
  • Mature interpersonal and persuasion skills;
  • The ability to persevere in the face of challenges;
