Senior Solution Consultant

Job Summary

The Senior Solution Consultant co-ordinates technical pre-sales activities. They transfer industry, technical and product knowledge to clients via good written, verbal and presentation skills. The Senior Solution Consultant is employed as a technical expert with the task of working closely with the sales team, Microsoft, third party vendors and internal consulting and development teams.

Responsibilities

    They assist in all levels of technical account planning and accompanies sales account managers on visits to clients

      Working closely with the sales team on proposals and pitches for business

        Attending meetings with sales personnel and acting as a technical expert

          Putting together business cases and qualification for the sales teams to support their proposals

            Working closely with clients to understand and capture requirements

              Working closely and collaboratively with clients to devise effective solutions

                Replying to clients following requests for information and proposal requests

                  Presenting proposals to clients alongside members of the sales team

                    Producing detailed estimates of both product and project values for clients

                      Maintaining technical training and certifications to the appropriate level

                        Building confidence in Avanade’s commercial and technical presence within Microsoft and the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) community

                        Development of Avanade’s Propositions

                          Supporting Sales and Consulting teams with awareness of the Microsoft stack, developments in Microsoft and 3rd party product functionality and industry trends.

                            Involvement in the creation, maintenance, and management of the proposal document content, templates and strategy.

                              Acting as an evangelist for products and solutions within the business and externally through a variety of media, including industry events, social media platforms

                                Maintaining competitor product knowledge to assist in defining strategy to win specific clients or engagements

                                  Any other duties in line with your role and as requested by your manager

                                  Cross functional support: work closely with the sales administration, consulting and finance teams, where required, to facilitate the timely flow of information into to these parts of the Avanade business

                                        Working Environment:

                                        The Senior Solution Consultant role will be based at client site and our offices in London. The role will require both national and international travel and will require you to work independently or as part of a larger project team.

                                        Skills and Experience

                                        Education & Training:

                                          Degree level or equivalent work experience

                                          Work Experience:

                                            Experience in delivery of Dynamics solutions of all sizes and complexity

                                              Experience of working in ERP and/or CRM Supplier environment

                                                Experience with Microsoft and other Enterprise or mid-market ERP’s and/or CRM products

                                                Specialised Knowledge & Skills:

                                                In addition to the knowledge, skills and experienced required to deliver against the role objectives defined above the Senior Solution Consultant will:

                                                  Detailed product knowledge in one or more elements of the Dynamics suite

                                                    Understand the sales cycle, engagement methodology and key sales materials

                                                      Excellent presentation skills to enthuse technical and non-technical audiences

                                                        Detailed knowledge of specific product demonstration techniques

                                                          Ability to configure product demo environments to address both general and specific client requirements

                                                            Achieve and maintain an understanding of the Avanade’s implementation methodology

                                                              Have excellent skills in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sway

                                                                Experience of working with and using SharePoint sites, MS Project and Visio
