Job Title: Software Development Engineer

Location: Brough, hybrid working

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work within a team of engineers to specify, design, develop, test, document, configure and deliver software developed to airborne standards
  • Develop all products to agreed standards and procedures using the specified tools and maintain product quality during development
  • Integrate and test software products sufficiently. Investigate and resolve problems raised during verification activities
  • Work to timescales, providing regular feedback of progress
  • Communicate identifying early potential risks and passing on guidance to team members with less experience
  • Ensure a good working knowledge of the project PSAC, SDP, SVP etc

Your skills and experiences:

Essentials:

  • Extensive experience of embedded software development using standards such as DO-178 or other
  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience

    Knowledge of Ada or another High Level Programming language e.g. C, C++ and a willingness to learn Ada

Desirables:

  • Experience of authoring requirements & capture and traceability tools/techniques e.g. DOORS
  • Familiarity with UML, PTC Integrity Modelor or similar software design tools/methodologies
