Job Title: Project Controllers

Location: Barrow, Manchester, Frimley. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 depending on skills & experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • You'll support the development/production and analysis of business data by using project control and monitoring tools, techniques and processes.
  • You'll produce and analysing data with accuracy, identifying and forecasting trends to meet targets, and managing projects to time, cost and quality.
  • You'll provide support to project managers and control account managers to enable effective cost, planning and scheduling, risk, opportunity, and resource management.
  • You'll support the identification and management of risks and opportunities and learning from experience.
  • You'll work cross-functionally across the Project Management & Controls functional teams to contribute a coherent position on programme performance, risks and opportunities.
  • You’ll also have people manager responsibilities in this role.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Must be highly analytical and numerate
  • Must have strong Excel skills with experience of producing reports for senior stakeholders
  • Experience of either Accounting, Data Analysis or Budgetary analysis

Desirable:

  • Project Management/Coordination experience
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment

The team:

The Project Controls teams support various areas of the Programmes to provide vital information and analysis on project costs (materials and labour), estimates at completion, budget forecasts, analysis on value earned from activities and risk and opportunity management. The activities are varied and the environment is dynamic as you will provide a regular drum beat of information as well as ad hoc reports for specific initiatives to support the build of Submarines.
