Job Title: Air - Application Support Engineer CAD

Location: Samlesbury

Salary: £42,760 - £47,013 (dependant on skills & experience)

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting the wider team on the Siemens NX CAD software through:

- Application/End User Support

- Application updates, testing & deployment

- Application developments

- Application account management

- Software and hardware fault finding

- Process development and deployment

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Siemens NX knowledge and CATIA knowledge skills in 1 or the other
  • IT/Engineering background and/or qualifications AND knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and computing systems
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Desirable:

  • Highly desirable Aircraft Standard design process
  • PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software & digital mock-up applications experience advantageous

The Engineering Systems Competency Centre (ESCC):

A rewarding opportunity is available within the Engineering Systems Competency Centre (ESCC) as an Application Support Engineer working on various programmes within BAE. The role is quite varied and covers a wide spectrum of I.T. related activities across multiple engineering applications (CATIA, NX, PDM, 2D/3D Visualisation). The role would suit someone who is proactive, diligent and a competent team player to help discharge work to a high standard in a dynamic environment.
