Job title: Principal Project Engineer

Salary: Up to £53,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the compilation of cost estimates for work associated with design change
  • Liaise with Suppliers/Original Engineering Manufacturers/Support Contractors to resolve technical issues & gather quotations / costings
  • Liaise and chair meetings with Ship Managers/Ship’s Staff/Platform Integrated Project Team (IPT) to verify Statements of Work/Mature Design Solutions/Guidance information
  • Providing day to day cover for Ship Managers, this includes being responsible for all aspects of through life support of their Ship. Planning, delivery and contract adherence

Your skills and experiences:


  • Chartered Engineer or working towards
  • Knowledge of Marine Engineering systems and equipment
  • Understanding of classification society equipment


  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Experience and understanding of ship maintenance

The Contractor Logistics Support team:

The Contractor Logistics Support team (CLS) work alongside the Ship Managers and the Engineering team looking after Offshore Patrol Vessels, working on batch 1 which is primarily based in the UK and batch 2 which is worldwide.

The majority of the work you will be working on with be on our batch 2 vessels which are maintained abroad in locations such as Japan, Chilli and USA – an exciting opportunity giving you scope to travel.

You will be working with the team on maintenance tasks and upgrading packages to the vessel giving you the opportunity to get involved with supporting on design and bid work.
