Procurement Professional

Location: Barrow-in-Furness (on site 2 days per week when required).

Salary: £42,315 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading overall Dreadnought team of approx. 10 people
  • Visiting southern sites on a regular basis to liaise with ICS team
  • Responsible for resolving any major issues that may with suppliers
  • Supporting the Procurement Professionals with major subcontracts

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience of leading a procurement team
  • Excellent People management skills

Desirable:

  • Experience within an engineering function

The Dreadnought Procurement team:

This newly formed team is responsible for procurement of Dreadnought base spares and carried on board spares contracts. The team also handle ad-hoc demand for in-service boats.

The team sits within the Integrated Combat Systems area of the business which is predominantly based in Frimley and therefore travel between the sites may be required.
