Job title: Procurement Professional

Location: Barrow

Salary: £42,315 + DoE

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing major contracts within a professional or similar setting
  • Delegation for Procurement Leader as required and management of Senior Procurement Professionals/ Procurement Professionals
  • Managing supplier contracts and expediting POs with suppliers
  • Interaction with other functions within the business and suppliers

Your skills and experiences:

  • Strong Procurement background with experience of transactional procurement
  • Excellent People management skills within a large professional setting
  • Experience within an engineering function is desirable
  • Ability to articulate Liaison skills at all levels and departments

The Procurement team:

The team sits within the Integrated Combat Systems area of the business which is predominantly based in Frimley and therefore travel between the sites may be required. This newly formed team is responsible for the procurement of Dreadnought base spares and carried on board spares contracts. The team also handle ad-hoc demand for in-service boats. If you Like a dynamic fast-moving role with the ability to travel the UK and Overseas to laisse with suppliers. This could be for you.
