Job Title: Lead Software Developer

Location: Yeovil - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £51,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

    Designing technical solutions and providing software development and testing of those solutions

      Adherence to project processes and software development practices

        Supporting system test and integration activities

          Producing technical documentation

            Generating and managing of requirements

              Estimating and reporting progress

                Leading a moderate sized team of software developers and being responsible for the required deliverables

                  Planning, scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work of the team

                    Liaising with multiple stakeholders and reporting on progress

                      Coaching more junior staff in software development, and leading a team of software developers, while being responsible for the required deliverables

                      Your skills and experiences:

                      Essential:

                        Experience of the software development lifecycle and processes (e.g. design, coding, unit testing), and tools (e.g. UML design tools, code IDEs)

                          Experience with desktop-based applications such as C#, C++ or Java

                          Desirable:

                            Windows or Linux O/S

                              Object-oriented design/development including UML, SysML or XML

                                Previous coaching and team leadership experience will be required for a higher-level Software Developer positions
