Salary: Up to £46,000 dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Acts as the main interface for the day-to-day delivery of T26 ship SI services. This is a role working across various ITIL disciplines with the overall intent to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
  • Ensures ship SI operates at a functional state where it is operating correctly, when and as expected and to design, at an appropriate level of patch/security; and to sustain that efficiently and effectively.
  • Processes and delivers all Requests for Change (RFC), Service Requests and Incident Reports for ship efficiently and effectively. Acts as the process owner for Change Management, Request Fulfilment and Incident Management

Your skills and experiences:

  • Extensive service management experience in a fast paced, operationally intensive, networked environment operating under an ITIL based regime
  • Ideally has worked in Military or Government IT as well as having Commercial experience.
  • Has a reasonable understanding of the technology in use in the Combat System from a management perspective; noting that this is NOT a technical or engineering hands-on role
  • Knowledge of ITIL based Service Management (SM) toolsets
  • Has in depth knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based Service Management

The team:

The team will be responsible for shaping the delivery of an IT Service Management service within a Royal Navy Warship. You will have the ability to shape and define how the IT Service Management is completed in Combat Systems for the new project.
