What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire apprentices to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress into the business
  • Developing apprentices that are innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers, through designing and delivering learning content as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering vocational excellence
  • Taking professional pride in their role and embrace continuous professional development opportunities in support of delivering innovative and impactful teaching, learning and assessment
  • Coaching apprentices to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey
  • Assessing and monitoring learner progress & performance in line with the apprenticeship frameworks/ standards and the occupational expectations of the business
  • Maintaining and recording data in accordance with BAE Systems, SDS and awarding body requirements

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Skilled engineering professional with occupational competence within Steelwork/as a Shipwright or with extensive lifting/transportation experience
  • Completed an apprenticeship or equivalent in Steelwork Fabrication

Desirable:

  • Training & Development qualifications S/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Assessor Award qualification
  • Verifier Award
