What you’ll be doing:

  • Refining Manufacturing processes by reviewing SOP’s, identifying a best practice approach
  • Supporting training of operatives on process start-up
  • Maintaining a manufacturing Safe Systems of Work database, and forecast periodic reviews of manufacturing documentation
  • Assisting in the compilation and development of Business Management System policies and procedures
  • Supporting capital acquisition and engineering proposals, to achieve operational improvements and financial benefits, initiate engineering change control
  • Assisting with Continuous Improvement projects
  • Reporting Safe System of Work status and compliance
  • Supporting all aspects of Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering as required

Your skills and experiences:


  • Experience in a similar role, ideally gained in a complex manufacturing facility such as process, electronic, automotive, or aerospace
  • Highly proficient communication skills, both written and verbal


  • Experience in carrying out process capability studies, managing OEE / OLE review, Risk Assessment is essential preferably in a high hazard / process industry environment
  • IOSH Managing Safely (training would be given to right candidate if required)
  • Time Served Apprenticeship – HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical

The Manufacturing Engineers team:

As a part of the ME team, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining technical documentation Safe Systems of Work in support of Production Readiness Review (PRR). You will be assisting in all aspects of Manufacturing Engineering in support of Operations. This role will offer you a great opportunity to develop your future career with BAE Systems.
