Salary: Up to £40,960 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Management of IT Infrastructure across facility
  • Providing IT technical support to all user within the facility
  • Maintain, generate and update patching
  • Manage Corporate IT Issues with IT Provider
  • Management and configuration of Room & Desk Booking system
  • Liaise with IT service provider to report and resolve IT issues
  • Management of Telephone network
  • Management of Automated Access Control System, Access/Security/ Reports, Database Back up
  • Update/Generate operational documentation
  • Assist in Health and Safety and Security Audits
  • Undertake Management of contractors onsite when required

Your skills and experiences:

  • Good technical knowledge of building services
  • Basic understanding of the defence industry
  • Understanding of Health and Safety
  • Understanding of Configuration Management and accurate record keeping
  • Basic understanding of Physical Security and Export Control compliance

The Facilities team:

This role is to act as a Facility IT Support Technician for the Naval Ships Combat Systems (NSCS) Maritime Integration & Support Centre (MISC) located at Portsdown Technology Park. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the facilities IT infrastructure is managed and available to support the activities being conducted within the facility
