Job title: Engineering - Information Assurance & Cyber

Location: Barrow in Furness or Bristol. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

Salary: Up to £35,500 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reviewing and updating the product security policies and guidance
  • Monitoring and reporting on issues and progress within the Major suppliers
  • Engaging and managing stakeholders within the alliance with system owners and stakeholders
  • Determining and resolving security problems and issues
  • Providing support and advice to stakeholders on security controls on a day-to-day basis
  • Support to deliver whole boat security case

Your skills and experiences:

  • Experience of being involved in the design and development of and IT or controls system
  • Awareness of information assurance and cyber security
  • Previous experience of managing and negotiating with suppliers at all levels
  • An Engineering or IT degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience of developing security assurance risk cases would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Knowledge of the submarine enterprise would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of industry standards NIST Framework, IEC 27001, NCSC CAF would be beneficial

The Information Assurance & Cyber team:

The teams work to deliver the Dreadnought security assurance case. This involves setting standards and policies of security cases to ensure major suppliers deliver against those policies and standards, managing daily risks along the way while reporting back through the leadership chain.

You’ll be engaging with stakeholders such as the MoD and others on consultative advice engagement level, but you’ll also have the chance to shape the role.
