Job title: Operations Leader

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reporting to the Area Manager / Trade Lead, assuming "deputy" responsibilities as required for defining, planning, managing, and delivering customer and business requirements safely to cost and quality targets
  • Supporting Team Leaders and teams in their personal development and duties through coaching and mentoring, sharing work experience and supporting with performance management to ensure all employees are effectively recognised, motivated, and engaged in the delivery of their tasks
  • Leading, developing, motivating, reporting, and assigning staff through good communication and honest open management techniques in keeping with company values, behaviours, policies, and procedures
  • Leading by example, championing the corporate behaviours
  • Strong management and leadership within their day-to-day work naturally supporting the team and area manager in all aspects as required

Your skills and experiences:

  • Suitable experience in manufacturing or production environment
  • Time served tradesperson or strong technical qualification
  • Manufacturing business knowledge including strategy, plans, key objectives, milestones, and their dependencies
  • Trade domain knowledge and experience
  • Experience of Leading, coaching and developing people
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement

The Operations team:

You will be responsible for the management, leadership, and development of teams, delivering the required scope(s) of work, on time and to budget through effective real time planning and task allocation. This role could be a learning platform to grow into an Area Delivery Manager or Trade Lead Position.
