Our shipbuilding business is growing, and we are now recruiting Pipefitters to fabricate and install pipework systems and utilities, with the aim of delivering the very best product possible to our customers. You will be working to engineering standards, striving for quality right first time.

Your main responsibilities as a Pipefitter will involve:
- Fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni and carbon steel)
- Using a range of hand tools & mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder and weld pipes
- Installing utilities aboard ship i.e., sinks, showers, and toilets.
Your skills and qualifications:
- Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture and installation, and use of associated equipment
- Trade papers, e.g., formal apprenticeship (ability to provide papers)
- Clear understanding of SHE risks awareness
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height
- Safety certification i.e., SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height etc
- Background in a major construction / manufacturing environment.

You’re flexible and adaptable about how you work and what you work on, a real team player who’s willing to get involved. You have great verbal communication skills, with coaching abilities, i.e., passing on knowledge to apprentices, and your integrity and practical problem-solving techniques are second to none.

Salary: £33,380 (shift allowance of 33% may be applicable)
