Salary: Up to £53,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Obtain technical information from subject matter experts, production personnel and other sources
  • Generate well-presented, grammatically correct, and concise documentation, in accordance with the company standards and agreed project schedules
  • Document assembly and disassembly procedures using Engineering drawings
  • Generate illustrations and photos, annotated, as necessary
  • Organise the approval, issuing, filing and (when required) printing of documentation
  • Responsible for the development of a complete suite of documentation for a product, either alone or collaboratively
  • Ensure all applicable Quality Assurance (QA)/ vetting procedures are complete

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • A background in Engineering demonstrated through a HND equivalent or above in Electronic Engineering or an associated subject
  • Proficient in the creation of clear complex documentation to support an engineering readership
  • Competent in the creation and editing of drawings, layout of documents and the creation of text to a professional standard

Desirable

  • Knowledge of XML editing tools such as Arbortext and the Raytheon Eagle Publishing System
  • Knowledge of AECMA S1000D, JSP series of standards, Def Stan 02-40 (NES 40)

The Radar team:

The Radar Team based in Cowes is developing the next generation of radars to be used by our customers. As part of the role, you will create and maintain Customer deliverable technical documentation required to support the use, maintenance, and servicing of company products. The format of the documentation will be either hard or soft copy and may be required in an interactive format to meet the project requirements. There is the opportunity to be part of this team that will provide support to the operators and maintainers within the various customer communities.

You will be working within the Integrated Logistic Support Team and engaging with the designers and management as appropriate.
