Salary: £45,326+

What you’ll be doing:

  • Performing a Vehicle Systems Configuration Management Role for F-35 program discharging internal BAES Engineering workshare for Configuration Change Control Review Board.
  • Ensuring Engineering data, Change Records / mechanisms, and BoM is in line with Project standards and correctly configured, ensuring it is in line with authorised configuration changes & F-35 standards of data integrity and is released in a timely manner and fit for downstream system (Production and Fleet) consumption
  • Acting as CM interface for Equipment suppliers, procurement, and System Engineering teams through Review, disposition and processing Supplier Data deliverables in line with supplier contract / Purchase Order
  • Helping to define, deploy, apply and maintain CM processes throughout the project and provide support on any emerging Configuration or Data issues
  • Maintaining topical data and status of change on the F-35 program to aid the business proactively identify potential issues or areas for growth

Your skills and experiences:


  • A Degree, HND or equivalent and demonstrable experience in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Proven Configuration and Data Management skills and competence within an engineering discipline
  • Proven experience with configuration and change management toolsets and/or Experience or interest in Configuration and Data Management activities or related specialisms
  • IT literate with the ability to work within a range of IT systems and products


  • A good understanding of and experience with product lifecycle management toolsets
  • A logical systematic yet pragmatic approach to tasking and process development
  • A background in Systems Engineering

The F-35 Configuration & data Management team:

The purpose of this role is to work as part of the F-35 Configuration Management team as part of the Chief Engineers Office to work to & maintain an effective, executable Configuration Management Plan that satisfies BAES and evolving US customer requirements / Toolset demand
