Job Title: Operational Excellence Professional - Integrated Combat Systems

Location: Filton, Frimley or Weymouth. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – there will be a requirement to attend the office 2 days per week. Travel to Frimley/Farnborough in the short term to support ongoing projects will be required

Salary: Up to £49,468 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

    Leading workshops within Integrated Combat Systems mapping the 'current state' looking for 'quick wins' that will save costs or improve schedule performance

      Be responsible for leading on elements of Operational Excellence initiatives and responsible business behaviours

        Supporting, establishing and maintaining Operational Excellence strategy and objectives

          Be responsible for supporting the Operational Excellence Management team in addressing planned and unplanned tasks

            Collate data in order to streamline processes and provide recommended improvements to the team

            Your skills and experiences:

            Essential:

              Analytical approach to the role

                Ability to interpret data

                  Working knowledge of Project Management principles

                    Working understanding of Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement methodologies including Lean and Six Sigma

                      Ability to motivate individuals and teams to embrace change and drive improvement

                        Excellent presentation skills

                        The Operational Excellence Team:

                        This is an exciting time to support the leads within the wider team and have the opportunity to work with our largest external stakeholder – the Ministry of Defence. It will involve being a part of the finished results for the Astute class submarine which will then move into the Dreadnaught submarine.
