This is a hybrid role and you’ll be working from the office at least 2-3 days per week.

Our goal at CityFibre is to unlock the digital potential of Britain by creating a broadband network that works seamlessly for everyone, every day. Powerful, gigabit-speed connections that enable people across entire communities to enjoy life in full flow. To do this, we make sure that our people’s voices are heard, their ideas are welcomed, and everyone is given the opportunity to make a real impact.

Help our Software Development team to success

As a Senior Platform Developer, you will be working within the Platform Development Squad to design, create and maintain IT infrastructure used by CityFibre. You will develop the tools and self-service capabilities to empower users of the platforms to seamlessly go about their work and operate their software. Day to day, this is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Work with third party vendors to ensure DevOps best practices are followed.
  • Help maintain Kanban flow by removing any technical blockers with sound decision making.
  • Lead and manage the delivery of multiple projects at the same time to achieve agreed timescales.

What you’ll bring to the role

You’ll have substantial experience of managing public cloud platforms and strong knowledge administrating and diagnosing Kafka brokers. You’ll also bring experience in:

  • Working with microservices.
  • Building and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Event driven architecture.

We’re looking for people who don’t settle for ‘good enough’ and push things forward. If you’ve just found yourself thinking, ‘I’d love to do this’, we want to hear from you. Let’s change it up.

What you can expect from us

With a salary up to £60,000 depending on experience, when you join us, you’ll also enjoy 25 days’ holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organisation of your choice, a performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.
