About the Role:

The Deliveroo Enterprise Technology team conceives, designs, builds and sustains the business services powering Deliveroo’s internal teams globally, as we transform the way customers eat. We continually drive service improvements and love to automate everything we can on our journey towards customer delight.

Deliveroo Service Management & Controls aspires to create a collaborative working partnership between Enterprise Technology, enabling functions and its user base. The success of this partnership is continually reviewed against a number of different metrics across SLAs, KPIs and business perception.

As a Enterprise Tech Business Operations Specialist at Deliveroo you will be responsible for ensuring Enterprise Technology supplier contracts are managed appropriately, managing spend vs budget, detailing our budget requirements with support from SMEs and leading contract renewals where appropriate in alignment with the central Procurement team. Enterprise Technology is on a growth and maturity journey, as a result of this you will also be expected to lead improvement of the capability, provide hands-on coaching, mentoring, training and support to the various teams within the team that contribute to spending Deliveroo's money.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support the strategic planning of the Enterprise Technology (ET) function by providing insights into spend.
  • Support the strategic planning of the ET Service Management & Controls function with resource planning, improvement roadmaps and data insight to support business cases.
  • Define, create and implement practices to support standardisation of our approach to business operations activities.
  • Actively manage the business operations practices and continually improve them.
  • Lead the management of ET budget vs spend including reporting, reconciling and improving visibility across the team aligned with the Finance Business Partner and central tooling.
  • Drive a regular review of the budget actual versus forecast with the leadership team, highlighting issues and variances that need to be addressed
  • Lead budget planning activity across the ET team, gaining buy-in from SMEs and detailing a final budget plan in alignment with the wider business.
  • Lead or support contract renewals (as appropriate) in alignment with the central Procurement team.
  • Lead, support and/or identify cost saving initiatives for ET.
  • Be an ambassador for ET business operations across ET and the wider Deliveroo business, providing advice, guidance and support when necessary.
  • Establish lasting relationships with Finance, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Enterprise Technology teams and other enabling functions.
  • Define, implement and analyse metrics to measure the success of the implemented practices and drive continual improvement activities.
  • Regularly meet enabling functions in Deliveroo to contribute to improvement of cross function practices and build lasting relationships.


  • Budget Management and contract management experience at a similar sized business.
  • Experience working across organisational boundaries on a local and global basis.
  • Knowledge of practices such as budget control, procurement of software/hardware in alignment with central teams.
  • Experience in understanding data sources and creating data insights that drive action.
  • Skilled in resource management, budget control and PMO practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
  • Effective communication and attention to detail.
  • Effective internal & external stakeholder management skills.
  • Broad understanding of business technologies and business considerations.
