AMS Support Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of AMS Support Manager at Freightliner, reporting directly to the AMS Manager. Freightliner is looking to lead the way and be best in class for locomotive maintenance through the use of digital tools.

We're looking for a passionate individual to join our Asset management team and advance implementation of best practices within Hexagon EAM (AMS). AMS is a huge part of our strategy (our engineers are managing mobile assets, after all), so your work will impact and advance a critical area of the business.

Key responsibilities of this role include documenting departmental procedures and methods and taking responsibility for the implementation of best digital practises improving data capture & analytics. You will be a team player who is naturally inquisitive with good communication skills. This role will suit an individual searching to break into the tech industry. The suitable individual for this role will be a self-starter with a talent for problem solving and will be able to pick up new skills easily. Good communication skills, an approachable personality and prior knowledge/experience of the rail industry will also be beneficial.

Skills and experience:

  • Engineering qualification, preferably to HNC standard in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Broadly based Web development experience beneficial
  • Assist the AMS team to create new systems and websites to improve company processes (full life cycle)
  • Good Communication skills
  • Attention to detail
