Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Programme Manager to join our Global Client Solutions Team. You will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and prioritisation within a project team(s) for client programmes focused on initiation through to delivery, providing outcomes which exceed client expectations and ensuring delivery is to agreed timescales, scope, quality standards, processes and cost. You will be responsible for specific client engagements both internally and externally acting as the key interface to clients on behalf of Iress and vice versa.

What you will be doing

  • Responsible for ensuring there is effective communication of client engagement(s) within Iress and working collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional Iress teams ensuring alignment to our ways of working

  • Responsible for ensuring delivery plans are in place, agreed across all relevant Iress teams and work is delivered in accordance to the agreed delivery plans

  • Work with the Commercial Team to ensure effective management of commercial matters associated with the client project including agreeing a commercial baseline as part of the pre-sales process and managing revenue and costs throughout the life of the project

  • Plan, organise and manage the delivery of client implementations in order to exceed client and internal stakeholder expectations

  • Build effective relationships internally in order to facilitate smooth working and delivery, within an environment of collective responsibility

  • Ensure the appropriate client development and test environments are in place for effective project delivery

  • Ensure all members of the engagement team have clear responsibilities and objectives and provide ongoing feedback on progress against these

  • Proactively manage client expectations, ensuring realistic achievable targets are set and managed and timescales in respect of Client Delivery are met

  • Develop, contribute to and maintain a thorough knowledge of the implementation process across the Iress product suite

  • Operate within our agreed Ways of Working identifying and applying best practice methodologies as applicable to achieve continual process improvement and compliance with any relevant legislation

  • Provide people leadership to a cross functional team including supporting team development and keeping people related tasks up to date

  • Contribute to scoping the resource requirements for the relevant piece of work, deciding which skill sets are needed at what stage of the project

  • Proactively manage, control and where necessary, escalate any deviations from agreed delivery through standard change control procedures

  • Ensure issues and risks are managed and put in a plan of action if they occur

  • Ensure the project completion criteria has been met, complete the final project report and ensure a smooth transition to BAU

  • Ensure project retrospectives and post implementation reviews are conducted in accordance with Ways of Working

  • Proactively generate business opportunities to extend client relationships over and above initial project, as well as generating leads for other Iress products and services (cross-sell/up-sell opportunities)

What you will need

You will be an experienced and proactive Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager within the Wealth Management or Financial Services Sector, ideally within a FinTech environment. You will have appreciation of technical environments with strong knowledge of your clients' markets and their commercial priorities. You will be a robust professional, able to stand your ground, unafraid to challenge the status quo and is comfortable working under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will have strong all round communication skills, able to build confidence with your stakeholders both internally and externally. It would also be desirable if you had previous experience working with Jira and Agile methodologies.
