Role Purpose

As a Senior Business Development Manager within the UK Trading, Data and Connectivity (TDC) Team you will lead the identification, creation, and management of new business propositions and relationships with strategic clients, building lasting, revenue generating relationships which result in sales opportunities. You will be an industry expert who is knowledgeable in Market Data Services and passionate about delivering solutions that bring efficiency, innovation and relevance to our clients. The goal is to strategically position Iress as the leader in technology and Market Data solutions in the UK, to grow revenue and market share.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on...

  • Achievement of Market Data revenue targets through the development of robust Business Development strategies whilst aligning to the established Iress commercial ways of working, toolsets and methodologies

  • Driving sales growth and market share by working closely with prospects and clients to understand their overall strategy, challenges and priorities to enable the right solution to be delivered

  • Effective opportunity pipelining that maximises the breadth of the Iress Market Data product stack to achieve sales targets and deliver value for clients

  • Working closely with the Global Head of Market Data, Commercial and Regional Commercial Leaders on developing a holistic Market Data solution blueprint for our target client segment

  • Successfully Identifying cross sell opportunities whilst supporting the client management team to execute on organic growth opportunities

  • Lead with and engage team members to produce winning proposals, RFIs, pitches, presentations, and product demonstrations

  • Attending relevant industry networking events, building a strong professional presence and personal brand, seen as the partner of choice and subject matter expert in the Market Data arena

  • Engage proactively with the Communications and Marketing Team to promote and communicate the business development story before, during and after market deployment

  • Working across the business to ensure clients are being serviced to the highest possible standard

  • Responsible for drafting, modifying and finalising contracts, including new and add-on business

You will be an experienced, solutions-focused sales professional with strong industry experience and a demonstrable track record of success delivering against targets. You will be an industry expert who is knowledgeable in Market Data Services and passionate about delivering solutions that bring efficiency, innovation and relevance to our clients. You will be highly strategic with strong commercial & financial acumen and be able to contribute and add value to broader business conversations. You will have excellent, all round communication skills, be able to build consensus and will be naturally skilled at developing and maintaining relationships. You will be a strong negotiator, well organised and pragmatic, able to look to the future whilst ensuring practical, commercial outcomes are achieved in the present. You will use your strong analytical skills and good understanding and knowledge of Industry practices, business environments and technology requirements to evaluate the clients, competitors, industry landscapes and make recommendations to drive profitability and gain market share.
