Recognizing the need to strengthen management and coordination of regulatory initiatives across the firm, the CIB Digital & Platform Services Resolution & Recovery Oversight team was established. This team is responsible for providing interpretative guidance and expertise relating to global CIB regulatory commitments, with specific emphasis on support for firm wide resolution & recovery planning; providing facilitation of execution delivery and development of operational governance structures to support on-going commitments.

Scope of the team associated to this role is related to the Resolution & Recovery reporting program, and has been chartered with developing and maintaining a comprehensive reporting tool that will support global regulatory reporting. The team is heavily involved in business requirement reviews, gap analysis, UAT testing, and partnering with business, technology and subject matter experts across the firm. The position will be focused on strategic long- term operating models to develop a comprehensive Resolution & Recovery reporting platform.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand, analyze and document complex business processes, identifying risks and defining solutions quickly
  • Perform gap analysis, document results to remediate issues and develop opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the Global Regulatory reporting model
  • Partner with global stakeholders to complete comprehensive business analysis and requirements documentation
  • Develop and document end-to-end test cases and strategy in partnership with Global Regulatory Reporting team and business partners
  • Partner with global user base to drive in depth end user testing, gather feedback and incorporate recommendations into future requirements releases
  • Document current and future state models, including standard operation procedures (SOPs)
  • Liaise with technology to ensure the functional design and build requirements meet global reporting requirements
  • Conduct post-mortem analysis after development release implementations to improve future enhancements

Qualifications

  • Previous business analysis working experience required, preferably in the financial industry
  • Understanding of trade flows across asset classes/products desired
  • Disciplined self-starter with high attention to detail and ability to execute tasks independently
  • Strong capacity for operating in a flexible, dynamic, and high-pressure environment where creative thinking is required
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand and document new business concepts
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive business process reengineering experience, a tenacity to drive to root cause of issues and leading efforts to define creative solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate issues during analysis, build, testing and post implementation phases, including documenting functional requirements and developing user stories via JIRA to develop from
  • Strong business analysis, requirement development, process improvement and operations analysis experience
  • Understanding of project delivery methodologies: Agile & Waterfall
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with business partners, technology partners, and SMEs across multiple disciplines and functions
  • Demonstrated experience working on large scale complex projects and initiatives across multiple functions with global resource base
  • Knowledge of Corporate & Investment bank businesses, regulatory environment and financial markets preferred
  • Experience developing processes and reports to fulfill regulatory guidelines and requirements preferred
  • Excellent presentation, formula compilation, and data analytics skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Visio required; SQL and SharePoint is a plus
  • Experience with databases/data marts preferred
  • Data modeling and end-to-end process mapping techniques preferred
